![]() ![]() Whether you are a fan of Artie Lange or not, the book is fresh and insightful, and it almost goes without saying, funny as hell. There is just no way to not love this book. To me it is simply one man's truthful story about his life and how everyone in the end faces our own demons, fears and cheers. In ways you feel like you're sitting with Artie in a bar as he tells you his stories, and at other times you feel like you're reading a note from a close relative.Įven if you never heard of Artie Lange or anything about the Howard Stern show, get this book and read it. I don't want to give it away.just read it. Dealing with his father's situation the way he did will bring you to tears, for in one sentance, you're laughing with him and how Artie's father got Artie onto the ball field to the short stop position during a New York Yankees World Series clinch and then you're brought to tears within a few pages about the heroic life he and his family faced during a work tragedy of his dad. And though there is that part of it, there are brilliant writings by this man about pain in his life. I expected the book to be more comical in nature.i.e., Artie poking jokes on EVERY topic. I love Artie as part of the Howard Stern morning group and as a stand up comic in his own right. I wasn't sure what to expect about Artie Lange as book author, but this book pleasantly surprised me. It's a quick and easy read and I recommend it. While I only know him as a Sirius sidekick of Howard Stern and have never seen him on a comedy show, I felt that he was honest about the experiences that he describes in the book. If you are not familiar with the Howard Stern show, this might seem somewhat disorganized, but it is consistent with how he potrays himself on the show. It is written in cronologically order, however, the style is conversational and stories are told in free form with side stories within chapters that are somewhat related to the period of time, but not really. It's a roller coaster of emotions ranging from funny annecdotes into how he got into comedy to very dark moments of an addict's life. Although the Sirius audience is treated to every detail of Howard's and his crew's lives, this book goes into the funny and darker side of Artie and exposes you to details that have never been revealed in the radio. If you have followed Howard Stern, this book is for you. ![]() Afghanistan, Africa, Albania, American Samoa, Andorra, Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan Republic, Bangladesh, Barbados, Belarus, Belgium, Bhutan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Central America and Caribbean, China, Cook Islands, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Fiji, Finland, France, French Guiana, French Polynesia, Georgia, Gibraltar, Greece, Guadeloupe, Guam, Guernsey, Hungary, Iceland, India, Ireland, Italy, Jersey, Kazakhstan, Kiribati, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Libya, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Maldives, Malta, Marshall Islands, Martinique, Micronesia, Middle East, Moldova, Monaco, Mongolia, Montenegro, Nauru, Nepal, Netherlands, New Caledonia, Niue, Norway, Pakistan, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Croatia, Reunion, Romania, Russian Federation, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Solomon Islands, South America, South Korea, Southeast Asia, Spain, Sri Lanka, Svalbard and Jan Mayen, Sweden, Switzerland, Tajikistan, Tonga, Turkmenistan, Tuvalu, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Vanuatu, Vatican City State, Venezuela, Wallis and Futuna, Western Samoa ![]()
